Software?!?

Hey guys and gals,

I was wondering if anyone knows where i can get software from that will assist me in making a nice photo presentation, with cool sounds and effects, for a very special friends birthday (apart from powerpoint!) I am happy to pay a price for it...not too much though im a full time student. Freeware/ shareware would be good.

I have a friend that does that a lot, I don't know what she uses but I'll find out and get back to you.

there is a program called Microsoft Digital Media Plus that she uses, and also told me that Adobe Photo Album will do that too. I have no idea about either of these programs but it'll give you some suggestions on what you could use.
