Default Socket 939 mobo that can be upgraded to an AM2 socket

ive looking into buying a mobo so i can put together another cheap system and sell it on. i came across this mobo off ebay and it says it can be upgraded fro socket 939 to an AM2. how is this? wouldnt it need to take DRR2 memory as well? heres the link:

That's definitely not accurate. An AM2 processor wouldn't physically fit into the 939 socket in the first place. And you'd need DDR2 RAM as well.

Sometimes people get "AM2" and "dual-core" mixed up, so that could be a possibility. Still doesn't really make a whole lot of sense though, I don't know what he was thinking.

ive been digging aorund in ebay and ive just found this for that board:

i think this is what the bloke is talking about by it being upgradable. dont know why anyone would want to buy this just to add it all on. they might as well start fresh over and get a better core duo mobo

ASRock has that type of upgrades. You will need to buy the mobo and then buy the card you mentioned. It fits in the misplaced AGP slot, which they call, I believe, AGI.

Make sure that when you do that, REMOVE BOTH CPU and RAM, ot else, it may damage everything or not boot. I haven't tried that.

Ah, that's interesting. I had no idea that they made those kind of add-ons.
