I need some help with just two Q/As about Socket 7. and Socket 8.?

I know that Socket 7. was for a Pentiume and an AMD CPU.
And that the Socket 7. had it's L2. on the Motherboard connected to the Northbridge and the CPU was also connected to the Northbridge.

This is how the CPU would talk to the L2. through the Northbridge I get this and the Main Memory as well.

And I also know that the AGP was connected to the Northbridge as well so the CPU and the RAM and the AGP and the L2. ram at the same speed called the Front Side BUS.

But when Socket 8. came out was this for Pentium 2. and is this when they moved the L2 off the Motherboard onto the CPU chip itself???
