Question Smelly Graphics Card

Hi, I just got my graphics card in the post and it has a burning smell, this might a stupid noobie question but is this normal? I don't the facilities to test it at the moment.

I don't think that's healthy for a card to have a burnt smell.. :S

That was kinda what I thought, i got it off ebay and the guy I bought it from says it works.

possibly not sure... I would contact the person who told you... but it could possibly have been in a house fire? (that would be a worst case senario, but it's possible) But I would contact the guy who you bought it from about it. As for the overclocking I'm not sure, I've never overclocked something but i think it's possible.

I'm not totally sure but it would seem to have some burning or extreme heat damage...

the smell appears to come from the GPU itself

my nose is telling me that the smell is from underneath the heatsink and nowhere else

haven't even put it in yet, I bought it second hand off ebay. I can't test it yet coz my comp is not here
