Default Slow Compaq S3000NX Presario

Hi guys...

Got an old computer, an S3000NX Compaq Presario...now, is "changing out the processor" something that I could handle? And if so, what would I upgrade the processor to? Thanks Carl

In my opinion you could prob handle putting in a new processor, but i don't think its worth it to be honest. Your machine looks pretty old and slow :/ no offense. If it to slow for your needs, your prob better off investing a little more in a new computer . Once again just my opinion, someone else might post a different opinion.

That's a moldy oldy blast from the past. 266FSB and some seriously slow ram.
Socket A to boot.
Don't bother...
I have to agree with kmart1212. Shop around for the tower only type of deal. Wally World online usally has some pretty good deals. NewEgg is another good place to look.
