Just switch the sticks you have into the other slots.

Is there away to tell if the slots RAM are placed in, are any good thru software?

Get on the Crucial website and do the memory search option. It tells you what you have and in what slots. You could always just open the case and look.

I know what I have but someone told me 2 slots on my board are bad so I was wondering if I could tell thru s/w?
