Slideshow through Television

I'm looking at running a slideshow through a TV in the reception where I work. How easy is it to copy Powerpoint, Word and other media to a DVD and then run the saved data through a DVD player on the TV?

Any help, web links would be appreciated.

Sorry but the avg home user does not face these problems,Perhaps i was a little to fliipant but i figure if you need a business solution as important as that you should get expert advice.
So heres some home user advice. Please allow a sense of humor sometimes.Do you rent home movies dvd or tape, same thing.
:D
In the meantime this can probably be done with PC to TV.If your video card and tv support it.s-vhs or rca if your in N America.
Really though yes it can be done if the above conditions are met.
DVD out to TV video input.
