sli question

ok so i know i have talked about updating my pc a lot on here and i still have not gotten around to it but i was thinking i have mb now that has one pcie slot would it be better to keep the mb and just but one really good graphics card or upgrade to a sli board and buy two OK graphics cards?

depends if you want it for gaming sli would be the best option probably although you may still be able to play games with just one realy good graphics card
but if its just for general stuff i wouldnt bother with sli

well i have one 6900xt right now and i play oblivion just fine on high settings im not to worried about fps adn all my benchmark numbers ect....

6800XT and those are unlockable

well if all your games are working fine then i wouldnt bother just yet beccause the dx10 graphics cards have been released and they are gonna fall in price so i would wait for them to fall in price then buy a mb with 2 pcie slots
