Default SLI motherboard

i was just wondering about the SLI motherboards if you just have the ability to run to video cards or if you have to

I'm a little confused on this post... If I'm correct in this assumption, then you want to know if you can run two cards or if you have to? Ok... well... yes, you can run two cards at once, but, again, you do not absolutely have to. You can always just put in one card and then get another one later. Entirely possible.

yeah thats what i was wondering, i knew you could run two cards but i wasent sure if you HAD to.
