Memory is NOT dual channel, that is determined by the slots on the m/board ergo dual channel configuration

Memory is double sided v single sided

@xiggy ..... check your board, google for results, some of the Nforce boards run at 2T with all four ram slots filled, so you're probably better to go with 2x1Gb modules

Probably been said, but your only going to see number differences. Nothing when your multitasking or playing games. So whatever is cheaper
