Default Single-board computers

Does anyone have information on single board computers? I've been reading up on them but haven't found anything really useful, I looked at one with a single EEPROM chip that my friend built : ]

Single board computers?

Do you mean systems where the processor is built into the motherboard? I guess I'm kinda confused with that question.. expand a tad.

Sorry about that, Yes that is what I mean, something like what the Apple 1 was. I want to find some information on a single-board computer that does not need a card in a bus for things like video or the internet. Something like what would be in a lap-top I suppose.

What's this for? Are you looking to build one? If so the Intel atom offerings are probably your best bet at the moment.
