Default A simple SLI question

Say you buy a MSI "K8N Neo4 Platinum SLI" NVIDIA nForce4 SLI Chipset
mobo, bnut dont have enough mula for 2 gpus, could you buy one 6600GT then another 6800GT later and use them simotaniously, or does it need to be can GPU.

Yeah, you can use 1 or 2 GPU's. Just buy one 6600 GT, then save up for another one. Then, when you have enough money just get the second 6600 GT.

well, i saw on one reveiw they used a pcx5750 and a 6800gt together, they just dint use the sli connector

So I cant use one 6600GT and one 6800GT???
IF thats the case, then I would sell the 6600GT and buy one 6800GT then save up fo another, B/c 2X6600GT's are rarely as good an one 6800GT

Nope. They have to be same core. 6600's with 6600's, 6800's with 6800's. Just get one 6800 GT or Ultra, then when youhave the money get the second 6800 GT or Ultra.

Has to be the same card FROM THE SAME MANUFACTURER as well. Not just the same core.
