Default Shutdown problem

My computer shuts down (powers off) everytime i choose reboot in the shutdown menu (start~>shutdown)... But when I do the "shutdown -r" command, the computer can restart. I am using the classic logon setting. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like a registry problem, try using normal logon for a bit, see what happens. Post back.

What is your OS ?
Have you tried from safe mode ? Have a look also in event viewer in admin tools in control panel. How is your pc running in general ? does it seem sluggish or slow ?
