Exclamation Shutdown problem

Sometimes when i shutdown my computer, it doenst shut down properly. It displays a black screen with this _ blinking at the top left hand corner of the screen.

Technically there should be a ? after that ^^^^^

I had this problem sometimes, Twas annoying....After I formatted it never happened again

Sorry; I don't know of one-I didn't reformat computer just because of that, it needed reformatting anyway

Sometimes when i cant be assed solving a problem i just reformat i love it the first time u use it after a reformat

Some program might be starting up when you switch your computer on, and this program could prevent your computer from shutting down properley....

If I was you, I would download Ad-Aware from here-
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Run a scan, and see what it comes up with.


To see what startes up when you switch your computer on, click start/run and type in msconfig

Click on the startup tab and you can disable/enable any program by checking the box....Make sure you don't disable anything that you might need-If you are unsure then ask here.

Hope you fix the problem
