Should my Arctic Cooler be this good?!

@ OP, Welcome to the world of after market cooling. :)

Mine idle at 45. 75'C under load.

Overclocked Quad cores run hotter than stock ones ....
There you go, fixed it for you.

My quad is currently idling at < 30°C

EDIT: Imageshack is on the fritz (again ) I'll post coretemp screenie later, but cores are 28, 28, 25, 25 with the Zalman barely ticking over (1100rpm)

I dont really understand why people would spend more money on monstrously large coolers when they can get such a good cooler for such little cost.

I was thinking about getting a Scythe Infinity or a Big Typhoon but im really glad i didnt.

24.99 for that cooler isnt expensive, 24.99 for an extra 800mhz or however much you oc sounds pretty good to me...

of course aftermarket is way better. i bought a heatsink from thermaltake and its running at 50 C overclocked

At the moment its a 1.2ghz oc. With my new ram I think my new cooler could easily handle a 1.6ghz oc!

I love my Freezer 64, they make great products for a great price over at AC HQ.

you guys are making me want to rebuild my desktop so bad....i got my laptop which games pretty nicely and i just made it 3 gigs....but my desktop has been on the fritz

Nate, yes it would work on a socket 775 pentim D.

that sounds about right, the artic freezers are a really good cooler.
