I have a Core 2 Duo: Centrino Duo 1.66GHz with 4GB ram...would adding a 1GB of Intel Turbo Memory do anything?

Well, the only thing adding another gig of memory to your system will do is make your pocket book lighter.

Just having read up on what it actually it, I think it will provide a very noticeable performance boost, its a great idea.

will it really do that much for him? and I thought you couldn't go more than 4gb on a 32bit OS, assuming it's 32bit.

I was wondering that too. But I didn't know being the turbo memory has a different slot if it counted towards my ram or not. Does anyone really know for sure if it would work or be worth it?

I personally think it's a waste. Don't get it. 4GB is plenty for what you have. I'll bet you don't even allocate that much if you were to monitor your existing RAM usage. Even if it does act like "ReadyBoost".
