The primary role of ReadyDrive with Turbo Memory in a notebook, is to increase battery life.

i quoted that from the article... so if your looking for more battery life go for it, but doesnt show any performance gains that are large enough to justify spending that much

I don't know how long "extra" battery time it can save, but it's better just to get a 9-cell battery to start out with. Hours and hours of usability. I can go all day on a single charge with my laptop.
