Default Should i Go with SLI?

I saw that the 8600Gt was on sale for $75 and i'm considering buying another one and using them in SLI. Are there any setbacks with SLI? I don't game frequently but when i do i want it to be perfect. I was wondering if it is worth it or not? I am running dual monitors at 1440x900. I like Crysis and if i get another video card i would defiantly buy it. Also what settings do u think i could use on crysis with two of these cards?

I'm kinda on a low budget (Arn't we all) I thought about a 8800 but its a lil high. What about this card? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130286

also what is required for two cards to be compatible? do both just have to be SLI?

The XFX GeForce 8600GT you linked to first would be your best bet. It matches up best with your current card as it also has 256MB of memory. For compatibility, it's best to match not only GPU's, but also memory amounts.

Here's everything you need to know about SLI: SLI Zone
