Should I get a 1 terabyte harddrive or a 1 terabyte external harddrive?

I have a toshiba satellie A135-S2276 laptop and I want a 1 terabyte harddrive. Should I get a 1 terabyte harddrive or a 1 terabyte external harddrive? Can someone give me a link to a good cheap 1 terabyte harddrive?

I would go for internal, but that's my preference.
It depends on how much you want to spend, and ho you use the laptop.
If it is on your desk 95% of the time, go with an external 3.5" itll be cheap.

If you take it with you everyhere, then go internal, but its gonna be expensive.

Well, since 1tb laptop drives are double the price of regular 3.5" internal drives I'd say go with a 3.5". You could buy an external enclosure for it and it'd still be cheaper than an internal laptop drive.

Under $100, good brand and good reviews. They don't make 1tb laptop hard drives yet, so you're pretty much stuck with external if you want 1tb.


EDIT: Tommy Boy, where did you find a 1tb laptop hard drive that was double the price of a regular one? I've never seen a 1tb 2.5" drive...

Say I transferred a video onto the external harddrive. Would I still be able to play this video on my laptop without using up any of the internal harddrive memory?
