i wouldnt say theyre going to become obsolete, im gona stick with 939 for a while longer because all those nice dual core cpus are gona get cheaper

I'm going to stick with socket 939 a little longer too because... well... I just got it last month!

Not to mention, I'm waiting for the price to drop about 1,000 bucks before I "invest" in it.
