I need help with my SEANIX SE-1908W 19" monitor I recently bought second hand. I realized after I bought it that it does not have a power cord:confused:. This is a problem because it uses a DC IN power source. The question is can I use an average DC IN Adapter? It seems SEANIX has gone out of business. I have found a few items that might help though: Old website with monitor: Seanix Technology Inc - Seanix Monitors A spec's PDF: http://www.go-gddq.com/upload/2013-04/13042521088303.pdf The info on the back says:
Power Rating:
12V _____5.0A
------

What does the power port look like? Is it the same as your PC power cord? If so, then yes they are interchangable.

Well they do make AC to DC converters. You could just get one of those and then get a cord that goes from the converter to the monitor.

Where i live Radio shack has the converters for sale, but you might want to look around on-line for a AC to DC converter.
