Screen Saver lockup

I would venture to say that it is spyware issues from the screensaver program that you downloaded it from. If you are using a third party screensaver well they are full of malware/spyware. They also use funky DLL files and will latch on to a good one in your computer and cause the DLLs to become damaged.
If you plan to remove it try to find its own uninstall progam if you use add/remove from windows it will take a lot of the DLL files with it and then you will more than like have to do a repair.

Does it write up an error report of the problem? Microsoft generally have the answers if you send them the problem. It sounds a little like a faulty DLL; is it a Windows Screensaver or a Downloaded one?
