I got a new 19" LCD monitor for christmas, whats the best resolution to have?

You can just set it to what ya want lol, there is no "best". Just set it to the highest it can accept

I would say for everyday use, 1280X1024, but it's whatever suits you.. there are no rules about it, some people like 1024x768, I am used to 1280x800, so I always use something in the 1280 range now, I have got used to it.
