Default Save my e-mail.

Hi!
I have (had) a computer with windows xp and Outlook xp. But for some time now, ive had problems with it and now i cant boot up anymore. Ive booted up using a Linux live cd now to capy my emails to a cd or dvd. But my problem is... i have now idea were emails are stored or what kinda file it is. So thats my question were and what are they called?

They all have a .DBX suffix. Outlook Express keeps all messages in these database files. If you make copies of these files regularly, you'll have a safe backup of your OE mail.

What about Outlook not OE is that the same? Sorry if i was confusing you i meant that i had Office xp and used Outlook.

Oh, Outlook. I think they use different format. Look for any personal folders or (.pst) file. Try that.

Thanks very much. Gonna try that. And yeah... do u know how to just search for only one kind of file like .exe for example... in kde in knoppix. It was the same as in winodows. Found soem files... gonna take a look at them. Thx agian. Wiee! Great. Found the files i needed. Thx for the help!!!
