It's just like SCSI :P I always just say the letters, on both. I mean that's how most things are. Are you going to start pronouncing IDE? CPU? HD? LCD? ^^ I guess about the only thing I pronouce, really, is RAM...

I personally always referred it as SATA. Never pronounced it like it though.

Its professsional to say and write Serial-ATA

Doesnt say SATA does it?


This has made me realise how over-priced macs are, its a nice PC, but way over-priced.

SATA is an acronym. You say it as if it is a word. An Acronym = the first letter of each word. It's a heck of a lot easeir to say SATA than Serial Advanced Technology Attachment or SCSI than Small Computer System Interface!!
