Default SATA II and SATA

Are SATA II slots on mobos backwards compatible? Can I use a SATA I harddrive that only runs at 1.5gb/s on a SATA II mobo that runs at 3gb/s?

Yes, you can run a SATA 150MB/s HDD on a SATA 300MB/s port with no problem.

Ooops. My bad. Fixed it.
