s video help

i have succesfully connected my laptop to my tv and i see my computer and it all works fine, the problem im having is that when i click on streaming video on windows media player, it does not show up on my tv. can someone please tell me what i can do to see the video on my tv.

Lets start here,Get it all setup,offline,open Windows player.Are you seeing all of this ? can you load a wmf ?
If so what happened.
One more thought as i only did this desktop to TV.Are you useing both or just tv video ?
