Running ChkDsk on my Ipod.

All of a sudden my Ipod has a corrupt file and it told me to run ChkDsk on it. When I typed in chkdsk/f on my ipod drive it said that the ipod was in use.

What should I do? I don't want to reformat it because i have thousands of songs on it.

try chkdsk /f /x

But /x make the songs in my ipod erase.

If you haven't already disconnect the iPod from itunes then try. I'm not sure how this works because i haven't had a problem with my iPod. Good luck

i tryed disconnecting and then reconnecting and it keeps saying that it is being used.
