Default Router ac adapter

I need to hook up a new HP printer to my system. My computer uses a modem and ethernet connection. It seems the printer needs its own address to work wireless to connect with the internet so I just ordered an N300 Netgear router per advice. I was told this would solve my problem. Since I know nothing about wireless do I need an ac adapter for it ? If so what kind, model or voltage.

Respectfully,
Pat Hagar
