If you could redo history and choose the dominate one. Would you choose RISC or CISC for modern processors for public use?

It wouldn't matter, they both started to converge in the middle anyway. Regardless of the system adopted initially, the chances are it'd merge into something like we have today.

They both have use for different things. That's like saying Would you rather only drink water in this world or only eat food... You need both, and they both have their use. One hydrates you while the other gives you energy.

Both are capable of doing each others jobs. Water isn't.

The best way to prove it. The old g-series ibooks used a RISC style processor. However you could get a emulator that would allow you to run windows.
