Rewritable Cd's - anyway of retrieving wiped images?

Hi,
I have a rewritable cd that used to be full of all my photos, I put the cd into my computer to find that they had all been wiped except for a few, there is only a small few that I REALLY want back, ones of concert photos of my favourite singer, I know this may sound rather silly but is there anyway of retrieving my lost photos? I really want these photos, and should have put them onto a normal cd.
