You need to defragment, and if there are a lot of startup processes, you have to remove them. If you have AIM or MSN, I can help you with that.

Im sorry to say but what you have to do is Acquire the Windows XP operating system Cd and
formatt yoru hardrive and then
reinstall Windows xp

You could partition your hard drive, move all the data onto the other partition, reformat the Windows partition and then reinstall Windows.
