Default restart problem

everytime i turn off my pc, it restarts so the only way to get it completely off is to use the switch on the PSU and i know that i shouldnt do that alot or it will mess up my pc.

ditto. may be the button is sticking?

i assume you are using xp er somethign like it if so then are you useing the start shut down or are you hitting the button? if you use start shut down may be a fiel or reg key got messed with and made say restart rather then shut down?

its kinda far out there but that is all i could come up with.
