Default Resolutions Effed Up

i dont know what happened but my computer randomly switched screen resolutions from my native 1680x1050 resolution. when i went on the control panel to change it back the resolutions were messes...

the closest option was 1680x2100....0_0 is that even a proper screen resolution?

anyways i updated the drivers for my video card and monitor but nothing seemed to work.

Try this:

Right click on your dekstop,go to 'settings',click on advanced,go to adaptor, and then go to "list all modes",And then a box will popup, select the resolution you want, and then click ok,and then apply. Now go across to monitor, and make sure the box 'list modes my monitor can display' is ticked.

Were you on VGA? You should see a quality improvement over VGA.

Umm..I know how you can manually set resolutions in the registry, from my time with VMware...I'm not sure this is really "recommended". Anyone know if that's a good idea?
