Yup, it outperforms the GTX 260 core 216 in every test I've seen.

The ATI 4890 is basically a re-engineered 4870. Its a board that they've gone back to the drawing board with, using faster memory, and changing the design slightly to allow for higher clock speeds.

Its around 30 more than the usual 4870, but allows around an extra 10%-15% speed in games compared to its sibling.
For 30 more, I'd probably be tempted with it, because an extra few 5-10fps can mean a game going from unplayable to playable

It'd run everything you threw at it for sure. I only have a 1680x1050 monitor, and I'd be happy to play games with 2x antialising, but this card can run games at 1900+ with 8-16x antialising, no problem.
