Default requesting a specific program...

Do youguys know where i could find a program that fixes HDD bad sectors and all other crap on it?

I don't care if it dameages the HDD or kills it or what ever else could happen.

I just want a program to fix these prolems...


Anyone knows a good program?

if it kills teh hd hhow would you know if it fixed the bad sectors..the hd would be useless

These HDDs were given to me a 0$ I wouldn't have a shame...plus, I backed up everything

Run CHKDSK /R from the recovery console. I assume XP. It doesnt fix bad sectors. Nothing can. It isolates them so XP won't use them.

I just dd and it "found some errors" but it said that it won't fix them for security reasons...

Probably a specific Hd repair would do it

Did you run it with /R? That is what is supposed to do it.

oh oops...I forgot that. silly me. O.k I tried it and it "fixed" them. The Maxtor drive test still shows errors. I think I'll need a more powerful program for that
