Replacing PROCESSORS in Laptops

I have an Acer Extensa 4420 (Model#MS2211)
I want to change this processor to a faster one; I just want to know what will be compatible and any tips on how to do this.

Also, if that's not possible, any tips on overclocking this processor??
 
I highly doubt this is possible. Especially the CPU. Overclocking isn't a great idea either due to your laptop's limited cooling capabilities.
 
You can use and "Socket S1" AMD Turion Processor with that notebook. Replacing the processor might be your next issue. Besides, what are you trying to do with this notebook that does not supply enough power with the 1.8Ghz processor? It is not really financially reasonable to upgrade this kind of component.

why yes it did! lol thanks.
After doing some other research and reading this, I think I'm just going to upgrade the RAM if anything at all to this computer.

The thing that I need to do with this laptop however is replace the backlight.
I've never done this before and am worried that I'll ruin the entire screen..

Is the process fairly easy? To get a new screen altogether would cost over $100 but a backlight doesn't even hit $10
