Exclamation Removing server fans.

Hi everyone.

I have a HP 1U server and as we know the fans are very loud unless the server is is a cabinet.

I know I should have gone for a 4U or something if I wanted a quite one, but I picked it up really cheap from eBay.

OK, here is my problem:

I want to remove the fans completely so I can water cool the system. Is there any way I can trick the server in to thinking the fans are still installed and running correctly so I can use it as normal?

I look forward to your responses. Cheers.

Default Re: Removing server fans.

Anyone got any ideas on this one?

I'm starting to think it can't be done. There's very little information out there.
