Default removing dvd drive

I have a compaq presario c500 laptop, does anybody out there know what I have to do to switch out dvd drive. I would appreciate any info I can get. Thanks

I don't think it would be that hard. a couple of screw drivers and remember how it came apart.

There is a screw in the bottom of your laptop.
Remove that screw, pull your drive out and change it.

Removing the DVD drive is as easy as JhonMichel said above but I wonder if your question is more about where you can get a replacement or upgrade for the drive? If that's the case, here's a possibility: COMPAQ-Presario-Laptops-Replacement
