Default Reformatting from Boot Disc

What is a good, simple-to-use boot disc that I can use to reformat my hard drive?
If it is relevant, it is a SATA hard drive and NTFS

How about just using the OS install disc?

The best is provided for free by the folks that made it. Get the brand off the sticker or from device manager and download the program.
