reformatting 98

hello. all. please i need help reformatting on windows 98.. how do u do it. i no you u need to create a start up disk. i dont no the codes to reformat it. help pleaseeee

im not using it.. im using xp pro... mates using 98. tight wont buy xp.

Pop in your startup floppy disk then boot up pc. It should start booting from the floppy. When it's finished loading what it needs just type format c: and that should be that. Make sure you put the space between format and c (this is assuming that your hardrive is the 'c' drive)

After that type fdisk to partition then cd d:\ to change to your cdrom drive then d:\setup to start the 98 installation.

I used 98 for years, until i got my new laptop which came with XP

don't think this will be much help but in my case i have no floppy drive and no startup disk. i used a linux live boot disk(CD) to format. works just as well and it's free.
...................just in case you're in my situation......
