Default Reformatting

I want to reformat my hard drive cause it's being an idiot. I want to know if I can reformat my hard drive without losing the XP OS cause I wasn't given the disc when I bought the computer and now I need to reformat my computer.

Is there anyway of reformatting it without losing XP?

Thanks

No, formatting erases everything.

You would need a program like Norton Ghost to copy exactly from one partition to another. The only problem is when you copy that back to what used to be the C drive (after you formatted it) you will ahve the same problems.

Go back to the vendor and request your disk, it is illegal in AU to sell a pc with an installed OS without providing a Restore/Windows disk.
