Default Reformat/Xp/Boot Drive Questions...

Ok so I have a WD 250gb harddrive, 2 partitions and XP installed on both. My first partition the C drive is labeled as the boot drive. Can I reformat that and just use it as more storage for the D drive which is now running XP also?

Well, no. It will have the OS in it, but if you format the C partition, you lose the boo.ini fine, which is the starter for the OS. I'd suggest to format the other one, if you can.

You could probably work round it with the bootcfg command, but it would be easier to do what lhuser has suggested, as theres less chance of it going wrong that way.
