Default Reformat 32-bit with 64-bit cd?

I've got a windows vista 64-bit cd for my new pc, and I was wondering if I can use it to re-format my 32-bit old cd? Will the cd key for the old pc work with it?

um, you don't go about it because you can't, I don't know how to explain it any other way...

You have to have the CD-key for the 64-bit CD or buy another key from Microsoft.
