how do i get rid of the reclcing bin from the desktop

Are you just trying to hide icons from the desktop? If so, then just right click the desktop and go view, then uncheck desktop items.

To take screenshots you press the Prt-scr button (print screen) and that copies it to the clipboard. You then need to paste it into an image editing program, paint will do, and then save it as a .jpg and you're done.
