okay
as some of you know i caught the Anti-Virus XP 2008 virus
and i was able to get an external Hdd
and back up all of my files and pics and my 5 gigs of music

so i went ahead an installed XP using the disk that dell gave me
and it is the most basic thing that i have ever seen!
the resolution is 460 by 680 or something small like that
its not even with its service packs yet!
and i cant access the internet
i cant even increase the res on my monitor!
what am i missing!
any help at all is greatly appreciated!

i belive it did
and i installed as many off of that disk as i could
but that hasnt helped out my screen res issues at all

try updating them from the latest available from the site.right click my computer goto your device manager and see if there are any yellow highlights next to any of your devices.

i tried something different
i went to dells website
and put in my service tag
then went to the drivers section
and just downloaded all of the drivers for my modle
onto a usb thumbstick
and then just installed all of them onto my pc

yep
and now i just have to re-download all of those blasted window updates
god thats taking forever!
just way to many
i havent even got to reinstall itunes
or ff
or any of my games yet
blasted updates
