i would go with a intel rather than amd though

AMD continue to make underpowered, outdated chips for some reason. Only buy if you are on a budget, else spend the extra money for an Intel chip which supports true dual-core (and not a poorly thought out variant) and is more futureproof than AMD.

I Don't see what's so bad about AMD. It's not as powerful as Intel, but it's good enough for the average gamer. I'm fine with my AMD 5000+, I don't think the processor has much of a difference over an e6600 in gaming because it all really depends on the videocard/ram over the CPU. Basically by getting intel you're just saying "Wow, I have a nice processor that I don't even need" Because truely you probably put your intel processor under full load for more then 10 seconds like 2 or 3 times a day.

This may seem like a dumb question but why do you have a 8600GT and a 8800GT listed for the same build? Unless your running 3 or 4 displays but will that even work with 2 totally different GPU's?

Juice is pretty much right on the full load expectations. Granted I don't know about a stock E6600 but mine at spec sig speeds I can't get it to full load under anything but a stress test. Even Crysis doesn't max them havn't tested the average but I'd say maybe 50-55% loaded, need a quad my ass.
