Hi, I have 2 front speakers 2 back and a sub. When using xp I was able to run the sound fine, however I'm having problems with setting up 5.1 sound on vista x64. I have installed the Realtek drivers from my motherboard manufacture

When running the tests in the manager I can get my speaker working, however whenever trying to play music in media player or VLC player only the standard front speakers are used. I tried going to sound and use the configure there, but that doesn't work (though when testing the speakers in the wizard, like the Realtek HD manager, the correct speakers play the correct sound). I checked the levels of the speakers and there all high, but outside of the setup and test enviroments I cannot get the other speakers to work.
Any ideas?

fixed it enable bass management and speaker fill
