Well... I got around it by editing the command line to the shortcut to launch that in DX 8.1 (I added -dxlevel 81)

Now it launches without the jizz artifacts... but I have to set all the video options every time I launch it.

I'll try removing the blob tomorrow, thanks Chris.

I'll keep you guys updated.

once your done with the settings exit the game and take out the -dxlevel 81 and it should be fine. it will save in your cfg

I get the purple floor artifact sometimes... on my 8300GS

My friends computer gets nightvision view artifact everyonce in a while the screen goes completely green translucent and looks like you are wearing nightvision
