Really bad, i mean reallhy bad ping problem :(

Ok, ive been playing counter strike: source for a good time now, i get around 40 ping at all times...well i just started up my copy of 1.6 today, and im getting around 90 PING, then all of a sudden it jumps to 160 and above, and keeps fluxuating...graphics are set on as low as they can go...so..any suggestions?

The same thing happens to me. maybe valve hasn't updated cs 1.6 since they released source. thats all I can think of
